I thought of an interesting hypothetical question to ask all you sleepy enthusiasts. Suppose scientists discovered a "cure" for the sleepy fetish. If you are cured, you no longer get turned on seeing females KO'd. If such a cure existed, would you take it? If given the choice, would you lose your sleepy fetish?
I think about this sometimes, and every time my answer has been "no". The truth is, this fetish has become a part of who I am. If I were to lose it, I would lose a huge chunk of my identity. I just love it so much! What do you guys think about this?

I would say "No!" as well. I have had a lot of fun with my fetish, and I have no desire to lose it!
You pretty much admitted that you are not a normal person and that sometimes you hate living your secret fetish life and wish the world would just accept you for who you are with an open mind.
Oh well. But I guess the best thing to do is stop thinking about these dumb alternate universes and start studying for your EXAMS!

Fetishes aren't "diseases", any more than a preference for painting one's living room duck egg blue can be considered a "disease".
In order for scientists to find a "cure", they would presumably have to start from the premise that the behaviour they are seeking to cure is somehow aberrant in the first place. Which means that they would first have to define what normality is.
And then if they have any kind of sense, they realise what kind of a minefield that can be, and they go away and leave everyone alone to enjoy their fetishes in peace.
The kind of thinking that presumes to know what is "aberrant" behaviour belongs to a time when people were burned at the stake. If they decided that sleepy fetishism was deviant, how long would it be before they sought to find "cures" for breath play, latex and leather, infantilism, BDSM, polyamory, lesbianism, homosexuality, bisexuality, and in fact any sort of behaviour that isn't monogamous sex in the missionary position for the purpose of procreation?

Without the urge to find fetish pornography, and other people with similar interests, I would never use a computer. If that happened, I wouldn't have gotten good at using a computer, no programming, no 3D graphic programs like poser/daz|studio, no job.
Yeah - even my programming is driven by my kinks, because I'd quite like to write games on the subject (I even have a design document or two lying around).
A "cure" wouldn't be an option for me, unless I got the chance to relive the last 15 years again without my fetishes.

The most intelligent people I know are ones that the status quo would think of as weird because of their love for the unusual.
Without our fetishes, imagination, and drives, we would lack creativity and enthusiasm. In short, we would become like the rest of the world: Zombies who live day by day, without ever considering who they are, and where they're going.
